Welcome to the website for Chailey Youth Group

This website gives you an idea of what the youth group is all about, what we do and the activities that we have to offer.

Chailey Youth Group (CYG) is a project run by local volunteers. The youth group is open to all young people aged 10 -16 years who live in Chailey (when membership places are vacant we may open membership to young people living in surrounding areas).

CYG has worked very hard to ensure that the young people within the community feel valued and are supported. CYG has been very well received offering membership to 30 members. We are always seeking ways of evaluating activities to ensure they are meeting the young people needs (these are ever changing in line with current trends, fashion and opportunities).

EAST SUSSEX YOUTH GROUP COMES SECOND IN CHILDREN’S STARS AWARD

Chailey Youth Group came second for the Make Space Youth Team of the Year Award in the Children’s Stars Awards 2009. The national awards scheme, run by children’s charity 4Children and supported by the Department for Children, Schools and Families (DCSF) and the Children's Workforce Development Council (CWDC), takes place annually in honour of the unsung heroes who work day in, day out to improve the lives of children and young people.

CYG come 2nd in youth awards!

Inspirational children’s professionals received their awards at a glamorous gala dinner and award ceremony in central London on Thursday 25 June, hosted by TV and Radio star, Neil Fox and attended by a wealth of VIPs.
