Welcome to the website for Chailey Youth Group

This website gives you an idea of what the youth group is all about, what we do and the activities that we have to offer.

Chailey Youth Group (CYG) is a project run by local volunteers. The youth group is open to all young people aged 10 + years (up to your 17th birthday) who live in or around the Chailey area, Newick, Plumpton, Barcombe, Wivlesfield, Cooksbridge and Hamsey.

Members are always welcome to bring their friends, new people or visitors to the group.

CYG has worked very hard to ensure that the young people within the community feel valued and are supported. CYG has been very well received offering membership to 30 members. We are always seeking ways of evaluating activities to ensure they are meeting the young people's needs.

Volunteers from Chailey Youth group are again nominated for catorgories at the prestigious "SPARK AWARDS 2013" being held at the Eastbourne Winter Gardens on 30th April.

At a similar event held in 2010, Chailey Youth Group's Ali Gunes, won The Young Volunteer Award, as well as providing a performance on the evening.

This year’s event is going to be more exciting with new categories, so we hope that our volunteers Tracey Gunes and Ken Furmedge are pleased to have been nominated!

If you think you might be able to offer a couple of hours of your time to help us run the tuck shop, run a workshop or do some cookery with the young people we would love to hear from you!
